Microsoft Office Live

What is Office Live?

Microsoft Office Live is a free online system which allows users to save, access and share documents and files. Office Live can be used to group and sort information for designated areas such as school, work or personal assignments.Files and documents can be accessed on any computer terminal by any compatible browsers. Microsoft office online can used whether the computer has microsoft office or not. Documents and files online can be shared through emails with other contacts. No downloading is necessary, only an account needs to be set up.


Impacts of Office Live.
  • Storing and sharing of data allows the documents online to be up to date, increasing organisation of group projects and provision of recently updated documents.
  • No missed emails or multiple documents that can confuse people within a group. Prevents delays or distruptions of important documents.
  • Lessens the use of flash drives, as files are online.
  • Not enough storage space, it has only up to 5 gigabytes, meaning it may constraint buisnesses who may wish to use it for massive group projects.
  • Can save over 1000 documents in one online place.
  • Password protection is available, protecting peoples documents and files.
  • Allows people to work at the same time on the same file. Microsoft Office Live can merge the two together resulting in a combined document.
  • Can potentially increase internet usage and costs.
